Teresa Hartnett – “Engaging and Empowering Parents: Working Together for Our Children”

Parent engagement is critical for the development of healthy children, strong student achievement and optimal school effectiveness. Strong parental engagement ensures robust schools where students learn, behave and achieve. Parental engagement can occur in multiple forms, from at home support for children, to supporting all students’ success through deeper involvement at the school level. This workshop will look at ways to engage and empower parents by reaching out, educating, creating opportunities for leadership and by having parents see themselves as partners in your school’s achievements.
