Dr. Lombardi is an award-winning author and documentary film maker who has worked as a parish minister, university campus minister, high school chaplaincy leader, teacher educator through O.E.C.T.A., professor of Religious Education, Brock University, retreat facilitator, faith formation consultant, and program coordinator in the Diocese of Hamilton. Presently, she is the Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs and an Associate Professor of Pastoral and Systematic Theology at St. Augustine’s Seminary in Scarborough, Ontario, where she served as Director of Lay Spiritual Formation for eleven years. She has done media work in radio and television and has been an advisor to the Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops in the area of doctrine and Catholic-Muslim relations. Her books On Earth as it is in Heaven and Experts in Humanity have been featured on Salt and Light TV. Experts in Humanity was awarded first place in the category of Family Life by the Catholic Press Association of the United States and Canada in 2017.
She is the Series Theologian for the new Religious Education resource for grades 1 through 8, “Growing in Faith, Growing in Christ” for Catholic School Boards in Ontario, Alberta and Saskatchewan.

Dr. Josephine Lombardi will walk us through a deepened understanding of what it means to live our faith: to believe, to know, and to trust the Lord. Providing examples along the way, she will draw on the riches of scripture and tradition, including research supporting the benefits of faith, to show how our families will benefit from our faith development.
Theresa is a servant leader called to her vocation as a Catholic educator 31 years ago.
Theresa is currently serving in the role of Co-Director at School Mental Ontario on secondment from her role as Supervisory Officer with the Algonquin and Lakeshore Catholic District School Board.
Theresa had the privilege to serve on the OCSOA Board of Directors and as OCSOA President, 2017-2018. Theresa has demonstrated thoughtful leadership and contributed to numerous strategic initiatives in multiple system portfolios at the system and provincial level. Her collaborative work with varied community partners in her role as Co -Director, SMH-ON for the past 3 years and as a superintendent of education over the last 14 years has been extremely rewarding and influential in supporting every student.
Theresa values collaboration, teamwork, partnerships and believes in the gift of relationship. She is passionate and committed to supporting the work of identity affirming mental health promotion, prevention, and intervention in service of equitable outcomes for every student and is honoured to serve, lead and work together with Ontario school districts to support student mental health.

“Mental Health Matters – Faith and Wellness”
School Mental Health Ontario is a provincial implementation support team who works with Ontario school districts to enhance student mental health through evidence-informed strategies and services. School Mental Health Ontario provides board Mental Health Leadership Teams with: guidance about best practices in school mental health, tailored co-created resources and mental health literacy. This workshop will focus on Ontario made, evidence informed everyday faith and wellness mental health practices and will highlight resources and strategies to support parents/caregivers.
